Meeting Updates

February 21st 2024 Meeting Update Draft survey discussed in detail, changes to be made and final version to be agreed by email. Magazine/leaflet distribution and posters discussed - virtual meeting Monday 4th March to agree the details of the Engagement Plan for Steps 1&2 of the process. AECOM visit to be arranged to assess and create design codes for the Parish.

January 24th 2024 Meeting Update Funding confirmed. Discussion of initial evidence base report, questions raised surrounding: wind turbines, solar panelling, housing mix and type, sustainable design, transport and bus services, businesses, starter units, protection of key views - landscape, making an allocation for housing. Village Tribune, leaflets, posters and advert design discussed. Artwork to be finalised and submitted for print. Consultant to draft initial survey. All agreed to Facebook Group page and website.

November 30th 2023 Meeting Update Consultant attended to present support package available & advise of process. All agreed to appoint. Funding to be applied for.

March 4th 2024 Meeting Update Discussed final survey design and print quantities, with pharmacy and Mandairs to be approached for possible collection points. Village Hall confirmed drop off point. Survey link to be added to website, FB Group page and posters (to be created). All agreed survey to stay open until end of May. Advert to be placed in May/June issue of The Tribune (distributed late April) with survey QR code. Website email capture to be added so that residents can be notified directly.

April 29th 2024 Meeting Update. The housing needs assessment (HNA) was discussed – the Steering Group can choose what is used in the Plan. The report has now gone to Locality. The Design Codes report is pending. Once the consultation ends, the Planning Consultant will produce a consultation report and discuss how it is fed back to the community. This will include a public meeting in September and a summary in the Tribune. Estimated completion of the plan is about 18 months.
