The Design Codes report is pending. Once the consultation ends, the Planning Consultant will produce a consultation report and discuss how it is fed back to the community. This will include a public meeting in September and a summary in the Tribune. Estimated completion of the plan is about 18 months.

June 27th 2024 Meeting Update. The Consultation Report (results from the residents' survey) was discussed. 127 responses received. 57% support the allocation of a small site. The group discussed putting out a call for sites and agreed, on balance, this would be in the best interests of the village. In addition to a call for sites, the Steering Group is going to gather information for allocation of Green Spaces and to map Protected Sites. It was noted that we await the Design Codes report from AECOM.

July 31st 2024 Meeting Update. Call for Sites is now live on the website and will be advertised on social media and the Village Tribute. The PCC has been notified, NNP Steering Group advised to take into account the sites put forward for the Local Plan. Senior PCC conservation officer will be attending the September meeting. Daniel Worley, Senior Conservation Consultant from PCC joined this meeting. Discussion around the Local List project - currently there are 18 proposals. The Neighbourhood Plan can have its own list and include stronger heritage sites. Work continues in the Group on the list, green spaces and heritage sites. The initial Design Code report was received shortly before the meeting and this was briefly discussed. Group to review and revert with comments within 2 weeks. Final report will be published to the website once available. The application for the next round of Locality funding has been submitted.

October 16 2024 Meeting Update. A discussion about the sites submitted and next steps - confirming all to be assessed against National Policy Framework and existing PCC Local Plan, as well as the results of the NNP residents' survey. Once the assessment is complete, a public consultation will take place and then decisions made and shared with the applicants. The Design Codes report and Green space and Heritage report are complete. Confirmation received that the next round of Locality funding was approved. Consultant to start drafting the vision and objectives for the draft plan.

November 18th Meeting Update. The Group met with Peterborough City Council Strategic Planning Officers to get a steer about future planning goals for the City Council. We also discussed the timelines for the Peterborough City Council Local Plan revision, where they confirmed it will be delayed significantly. It is going to public consultation in the Autumn of 2025. Further discussions around the Call For Sites exercise. With more work to do- once the assessments are complete the results will be shared appropriately. Consultant to make a start on the draft plan vision and objectives, for the Group to review at the next meeting.

January 9th 2025 Meeting Update. Decisions made about the sites submitted for the Call For Sites - with a couple to be explored further. Letters will be sent to all sites where a decision was made with the outcome of their application. Once further work has been done and the letters received, this will be shared more widely. The Hannafin proposal was discussed following the very recent distribution of leaflets around the Parish requesting public feedback. There are further conversations to be had around this and the Steering Group will revert. Feedback given on the Draft vision and objectives with some changes to be made. Consultant will begin work on the policies and Draft Plan. Further funding application to be made for April 2025 financial year. Discussions around BNG sites, Clerk to investigate further.

April 2nd 2025 Meeting Update. The revised draft Local Plan and its potential impact on development in the Parish was discussed. The Group debated the option of allocation for the Neighbourhood Plan. This would be a community decision and so a community event will be arranged for the proposed site(s) to be presented to the residents for feedback and opinions. This to take place on Saturday 28th June at 2pm at the Village Hall. The draft plan policies will then be developed once the decision whether to allocate has been made.

May 14th 2025 Meeting Update. The Steering Group met with a representative of Milton Estate to discuss the second of the two large site allocation submissions. It was confirmed that the Peterborough City Council had rejected this site (& Hill Farm) and that this site is up to 10 years away from fruition. The SG decided therefore to cancel the June community meeting. It is not possible to include sites in the Neighbourhood Plan that do not align with NPPF or the Local Planning approach - the Plan would be rejected. Next steps are for the Consultant to build a draft plan based on the residents' survey, that aligns with Policy. A Community Engagement meeting will follow when there is a draft plan to share.

November 30th 2023 Meeting Update Consultant attended to present support package available & advise of process. All agreed to appoint. Funding to be applied for.
